HeyGo

Ride assurance

A change of driver, with your approval.

If your driver cannot travel, HeyGo can look for another ride on your route or support a driver handover. A replacement depends on availability. You see the proposed driver, vehicle, departure time and new fare before deciding whether to accept.

How a handover runs

Four steps, and you own the last one

The booking cannot change hands twice, cannot change hands silently, and cannot change hands without you.

  1. 01

Something goes wrong at their end

A breakdown, a health emergency, a shift that moved. The driver says so in the app instead of leaving you to find out at the pickup point.

  2. 02

The booking looks for a new home

Your driver passes it to another driver running the same route on the same day — or, if a booking is cancelled outright, HeyGo searches the route itself and holds a seat for you.

  3. 03

The receiving driver has to say yes

No booking is dumped on anyone. The other driver accepts it, with your pickup, your drop and your seats intact, before you are ever asked.

  4. 04

Then, and only then, you decide

New driver, new vehicle, new departure time and the exact new fare, all on one screen. Approve it and you travel. Refuse it and nothing moves.

Your approval is the product

Nothing moves without your yes

A transfer is a proposal, not a notification. Here is exactly what you get to see and do before it counts.

You see both sides

The driver you booked and the driver being offered, with vehicle and departure details for each. No mystery swaps.

The fare is exact

Higher, lower or identical — the app says which, in rupees, before you approve. There is no silent price change and approving is not a payment.

Your seat is held

The replacement seat is reserved while you make up your mind, so deciding carefully does not cost you the ride.

No is a complete answer

Decline and the handover dies there. We stop looking, and you are free to search and book another ride yourself.

Friday, 6:40 pm

The evening this was built for

You have a seat booked from Hyderabad to Vijayawada. Your driver's car is in a workshop in Uppal and is not coming out tonight.

Before, that was a cancellation and a bus stand at nine. Now the driver opens the booking, picks another HeyGo driver on the same road at roughly the same hour and sends it across. That driver accepts. Your phone asks one question: same route, this car, this departure, this fare — yes or no? You read it, you tap yes, and the only thing that changed about your Friday is the number plate.

  • Plans change. Your trip doesn’t.
  • The cancellation that becomes a handover.
  • Two drivers, one promise.
  • Nothing moves without your yes.

FAQ

Ride assurance questions

What happens if my HeyGo driver cancels at the last minute?

Instead of ending there, the booking is offered to another driver running the same route on the same day. If that driver accepts, you are asked to approve the new driver, vehicle, departure time and fare. Nothing is confirmed until you approve it.

Can a driver hand my booking to someone else without telling me?

No. A transfer needs the receiving driver to accept and then you to approve. Until you approve, your original booking stays exactly as it is.

What if the new ride costs more?

The app shows the exact new total and whether it is higher, lower or the same as your original fare, before you decide. Approving a transfer is an approval of that fare, not a payment — you still pay after the ride.

What if I do not want the replacement ride?

Decline it. The handover stops, we stop looking for a replacement, and you can search and book another ride yourself.

What if no replacement driver is available?

We tell you straight away rather than leaving you waiting, so you still have time to make other arrangements. Ride assurance means we go looking and you stay in control; it is not a guarantee that a seat always exists on every route at every hour.

Does this work for goods vehicles and trucks too?

The handover flow is built around bookings on a published route, which is where last-minute driver changes hurt most. Use the app to see what is offered for your specific booking.

Book the ride. We'll handle the day it goes sideways.

Shared rides, private cabs, car rentals, goods vehicles, trucks and ambulances — one app, across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
