Outstation cabs · intercity travel

The highway is long. The booking shouldn't be.

Hyderabad to Vijayawada, Warangal to home, Vijayawada to Visakhapatnam. Book the whole car or a single seat on a trip that is already running, with the distance, the driving time and the fare in front of you before you commit.

Three ways to do the same road

Whole car, one seat, or the full day

Intercity travel is not one product. Choosing the right shape of booking is most of the saving.

Take the whole car

A private outstation cab for you and whoever is travelling with you. You set off when you want and stop where you want, and the fare covers the vehicle rather than the seat.

Take one seat

Someone is already driving your road today. Booking a seat on that trip splits a long highway run several ways and is usually the cheapest intercity travel there is.

Take the car for the day

A car rental with a driver, for a wedding circuit, a site visit or a multi-stop day where a one-way drop does not fit.

Before you set off

Four things worth two minutes

A long trip goes wrong in small ways. These are the ones travellers tell us about most.

Read the safety tools
  • 01 Confirm the departure time and the pickup point with the driver before the day of travel.
  • 02 Check the vehicle class against your luggage — a long highway run with four people and four bags is not a hatchback trip.
  • 03 Note whether you are booking a seat or the whole vehicle; the fare on screen says which.
  • 04 Share the live trip link with someone at the destination, especially for night departures.

If the driver cannot go

A cancelled outstation trip is the worst kind

You are three hours from home with a bag at your feet. So a HeyGo driver who cannot travel hands the booking to another driver on the same route, and you approve the replacement yourself — new driver, new vehicle, exact new fare — before anything changes.

How ride assurance works

FAQ

Outstation cab questions

What is an outstation cab?

Any booking that leaves one city and ends in another, instead of staying inside city limits. On HeyGo that can be a private vehicle for the whole trip or a seat on a trip a driver has already published.

Is a shared intercity ride cheaper than a private outstation cab?

Almost always, because the cost of the drive is split between the passengers on board rather than carried by one booking. The trade-off is that the schedule and the route belong to the driver who published the trip.

Do I pay for the return leg on a one-way trip?

HeyGo is a marketplace, so the driver publishes the fare for the trip they are making and you see that figure before you book. Drivers who are already making the return leg themselves have no empty return to recover, which is exactly why publishing a trip beats quoting a round trip.

How far in advance should I book an outstation cab?

Book as soon as your plan is fixed. Intercity trips are published ahead of time and the best departures on busy corridors like Hyderabad to Vijayawada fill first, especially on Friday evenings and before festivals.

What if my outstation driver cancels?

The booking is offered to another driver running the same route on the same day. If they accept, you are asked to approve the new driver, vehicle, departure and fare before anything changes. Read more on ride assurance.

Can I book an outstation trip for someone else?

Yes. Book from your account and share the live trip link so you can follow the journey even if you are not the one travelling.
